Teaching

I am an experienced singing teacher and vocal coach, drawing on my conservatoire training and extensive professional singing experience to deliver enriching and varied lessons.

I run a private teaching practice at my home in Rugby, Warwickshire. I accept students of all ages and abilities, with a focus on adult learners who sing for pleasure and young people looking to pursue a career in classical singing, perhaps auditioning for music colleges or choral scholarships. I am also happy to teach online for those who cannot make lessons in person.

Using a holistic approach, I encourage my students to develop their musicianship and technical skills alongside an awareness of how the whole body interacts with our singing voice. I coach singers on correct pronunciation of foreign languages and can teach many styles including musical theatre, opera, classical and choral singing. By learning to sing with confidence and clarity, students can enjoy exploring increasingly complex repertoire and finding deeper emotional connections with their music-making.
